This is an informal drop-in clinic to support staff to run the WellComm Screening and Intervention programme. WellComm is designed to assess and then develop children's receptive and expressive language. Delayed language skills lead to under-performance later in life. WellComm helps us to identify children who are experiencing barriers to speech and language development so that we can support them early in their education journey.
WellComm is also an important part of our SEND early identification pathway. This session will be run by Sally Earl, the Early Year's Lead for the Trust and Bev Steele, a specialist trained speech and language teaching assistant who has lots of experience in using WellComm.
